Entri ("we", "us", "our") operates the Entri platform at theentri.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our service. By using Entri, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information: Your first name, last name, email address, mobile number, and date of birth when you create an account.
• Listing information: Registration number, event name, distance, and pricing details when you list a race entry.
• Purchase information: Your name, date of birth, and emergency contact details (name and phone number) when you purchase an entry.
• Payment information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details — Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
• Communications: Any messages or enquiries you send to us.

We also automatically collect certain technical information when you use our platform, including IP address, browser type, device information, and usage data, for the purposes of operating and improving our service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Verify the legitimacy of race entry listings against official participant records
• Facilitate the secure transfer of race entries between sellers and buyers
• Communicate with you about your listings, purchases, and account activity
• Share necessary participant information with race directors to complete official name transfers
• Process payments and manage funds through our payment provider (Stripe)
• Send transactional emails, including listing confirmations, purchase receipts, and transfer confirmations
• Comply with our legal obligations
• Improve and develop our platform

3. Information Shared With Third Parties

We share your personal information only as necessary to operate the platform:

• Race directors: When a transfer is completed, we share the buyer's name, date of birth, and contact details with the relevant race director to update their official participant records. This is a core function of the service.
• Stripe: Our payment processor. Stripe receives the information necessary to process your payment. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase: Our database and authentication provider, used to securely store account and listing data.
• Resend: Our email delivery provider, used to send transactional emails.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of disputes or legal requirements. Transaction records (including buyer and seller details for completed transfers) are retained for a minimum of 7 years in accordance with Australian financial record-keeping obligations.

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@theentri.com. Note that some information may be retained where required by law or where it forms part of a completed transaction record.

5. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This includes using industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal obligations)
• Opt out of non-transactional communications
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy rights have been breached

Our platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.
