Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Entri platform at theentri.com, operated by Entri ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using Entri in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. About Entri
Entri is a marketplace that facilitates the verified transfer of race event entries between participants. Entri acts as an intermediary — we verify listings, process payments, and coordinate transfers with race directors. We are not a party to the underlying transaction between the seller and buyer beyond our role as facilitator.
2. Eligibility
To use Entri, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using our services under any applicable law
By using Entri, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.
3. Seller Terms
If you list a race entry on Entri, you agree to the following:
- Legitimate ownership: You must be the registered holder of the entry you are listing. You must not list an entry you do not own, have already transferred, or that has been cancelled or voided.
- Accurate information: All information you provide — including registration number, event, distance, and pricing — must be accurate and complete.
- Price cap: Listings may not exceed the original face value of the entry. Entri will reject or remove any listing priced above face value.
- Verification consent: You consent to Entri verifying your listing against official race records, which may include sharing your registration details with the relevant race director.
- Withdrawal: You may withdraw a listing at any time before a buyer has completed payment. Once payment is made, the sale is final and the listing cannot be withdrawn.
- Success fee: A fee of 4% of the listing price is deducted from your payout upon successful transfer. Listing your entry is always free.
- Payout: You will receive your payout (listing price less the 4% success fee) within a reasonable timeframe after the transfer is confirmed. Entri reserves the right to withhold payment pending resolution of any dispute.
4. Buyer Terms
If you purchase a race entry through Entri, you agree to the following:
- Accuracy of details: The personal details you provide at checkout (name, date of birth, emergency contact) must be accurate, as they will be used to complete the official participant name transfer with the race director.
- Protected transaction fee: A fee of 2% of the entry price applies to all purchases. This fee covers payment processing and buyer protection and is non-refundable except where a transfer cannot be completed.
- Transfer process: Upon payment, Entri notifies the relevant race director to update their participant records. The time taken for the race director to action this update is outside Entri's control. Entri is not liable for any delay on the part of the race director.
- Event policies: You are responsible for ensuring the race event's transfer policy permits the transfer of entries. Entri only lists entries for events that permit transfers, but event policies may change. It is your responsibility to confirm your eligibility to participate before purchasing.
- Refunds: Purchases are final. A refund will only be issued if Entri is unable to complete the transfer (for example, if the race director refuses the name change or the event is cancelled). Refunds are not available due to change of mind, injury, or inability to attend.
5. Fees
- Sellers: Free to list. A 4% success fee is charged on the listing price, deducted from the seller's payout, and is only payable on a completed transfer.
- Buyers: A 2% protected transaction fee is added to the entry price at checkout. This fee is payable on all purchases.
- Race directors: Entri is completely free for race directors.
Entri reserves the right to modify its fee structure at any time. Changes to fees will be communicated via the platform and will apply to new transactions only.
6. Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Entri does not store credit card or payment details. Seller payouts are processed by Entri following confirmation of a completed transfer.
7. Verification and Approval
All listings are subject to verification by Entri before going live on the marketplace. Entri reserves the right to reject or remove any listing at its sole discretion, including but not limited to listings that:
- Cannot be verified against official participant records
- Are priced above face value
- Relate to an event that does not permit transfers
- Appear fraudulent or in breach of these Terms
Verification does not constitute a guarantee that the underlying entry is valid. Entri takes reasonable steps to verify listings but is not liable for errors or omissions in the information provided by sellers.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You must not use Entri to:
- List entries you do not own or are not entitled to transfer
- Provide false or misleading information
- List entries above their original face value
- Circumvent our verification process
- Engage in any fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity
- Attempt to bypass our payment system or arrange direct payment outside of the platform
- Use the platform in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our systems
Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and may be reported to relevant authorities.
9. Cancellations and Event Changes
If a race event is cancelled, postponed, or materially changed after a transfer has been completed, Entri is not responsible for any loss suffered by the buyer or seller. Refund or compensation rights in such circumstances are a matter between you and the race director or event organiser, and may be governed by the event's own terms and conditions.
Entri will use reasonable endeavours to assist where possible, but accepts no liability for circumstances outside its control.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:
- Entri's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform is limited to the total fees paid by you to Entri in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Entri is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of earnings, loss of opportunity, or personal injury arising from participation in a race event.
- Entri does not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times, error-free, or that transfers will be completed within any particular timeframe.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy, or any guarantee, warranty, or other term or condition, implied or imposed by the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Entri and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, your breach of these Terms, or any listing you submit that is found to be fraudulent or inaccurate.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Entri platform, including but not limited to the logo, design, text, and software, is owned by or licensed to Entri. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
13. Account Termination
Entri reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we determine it is necessary to protect the integrity of the platform or the interests of other users.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us at hello@theentri.com. Closing your account does not affect any outstanding obligations, including pending transfers or payouts.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales for any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of Entri.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and revising the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of Entri after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
